RECENT POST 144 & COMMUNITY EVENTS

  VETERANS DAY SALUTE FROM VISCARDI SCHOOL STUDENTS 

Henry Viscardi School is a special school  for severely challenged students requiring a specialized educational setting with medical support.  Thanks to American Legion Auxiliary Williston Unit 144 Education Chair, Dianne Karl, we’re able to share with you this video  by the Viscardi School students which is being presented as a Indoor Veteran's Day Parade Tribute to neighborhood veterans from Williston Park Post 144 as well as VFW Post in Albertson on  November 11, 2021.

Our American Legion & VFW Families were joined by Jennifer DeSena, Town of North Hempstead Supervisor, for the Indoor Veterans Parade at the Henry Viscardi School.  Dr. Chris Rosa, Viscardi CEO, welcomed the group and described the programs available to the  students at the school.  This is the second "annual" event that finally took place after two inactive years due to the pandemic.  We are thrilled to be back, and the welcome from the students is heartwarming, to say the least!  (Photo- Town of North Hempstead)
